The design was inspired by the current state of the world, and the phrase ‘trickle down’ economics was a key bit of inspiration. The Grim Reaper represents the super wealthy, feeding from the work of the community, whilst insisting that the benefits will eventually come to the town. But in reality, they’re hoarding for themselves, creating hate, division and anger, in turn destroying the community.
